Drawing a day, nr. 4 - Mug or cup. Cup was misspelled in the first description as cub so that’s why the little guy is there :P Tried a bit more of an illustrative style? Not sure if it works for me though.
Drawing a Day - Nr. 2 - Draw something that is in your room. In my case my little marble owl that I bought in Rome when we went with school there. He likes to stare. And I had fun with the colours on this one, some were very hard to get right. Speedpaint 1h 35min.
Entry for a Drawing a Day jam. No. 1. - Draw something that makes you happy. In my case colours, glowyness, clouds and landscapes (with an hidden extra). XD It’s a speedpaint done in 1h 45 minutes. And yes, I had fun with the colours. XD
The first speedpaint in a very long time, dang I’m so rusty. XD Done in 1,5 hours. Finally got inspired to draw something for myself again, haven’t drawn anything digital in a long time. XD Needed to get used to it again too. Also my first art of the year here! C:
your art is beautiful! if its not too weird to ask, what school do you go to? I'm an artist too, and I'm looking for schools to go to for college
Thanks a bunch! :) And I’m studying Scientific Illustration which is a master and before that I did a bachelor in Illustration/Animation. Both are in the Netherlands so I don’t know if that’s anywhere close to where you are. :)
Very happy to have finished this one. It was a lot of fun and I’m quite happy with it too. It’s my second to largest pencil drawing I’ve ever made (it’s A2 size). This was made with a very large range of pencils. We had to start at 9H and slowly work our way in layers to 2B. C: Was quite fun even though I wanted to redo/quit everything about halfway because it didn’t look very great but I’m glad I persevered and finished it. ^^ Oh and time taken is around 80 hours. :)
The reference for this was a 1:7 real lion muscle structure plaster cast we have at school. :) Which is such a pretty and awesome thing and more than 100 years old. C:
Finally, it’s done! The largest drawing I have ever made and it’s done with pencils too! It’s an A1 in size which is 59.4 x 84.1cm or 23.39 x 33.11 inches. So um yeah. Huge. XD Had my ups and downs with this but I have learned so much from it as well. ^^ This is a 1:1 representation of a real torso we had to use as a reference. :) The pelvis was the most hardest part to work out I think and the ribs were the hardest ones to get right in the sketch. :) Total time taken to make this piece is I think close to 80 hours, so it breaks my record of working on a drawing too.
Occasionally I like to take photographs and sometimes I snap a few shots that I’m happy with. ^^ The bottom left one was done really quick because the clouds were catching up on me and as soon as I put my camera in my bag it started to pour. XD
